Ms. asks: Women’s Studies degrees and what YOU are doing/planning on doing?

New issue of Ms. (Spring 2007), great read as always, has an article by Nikki Ayanna Stewart, titled “Transform the world: What you can do with a degree in Women’s Studies.” NWSA as well as the Ms. Foundation are gathering information. In Women’s Studies, the 2003 – 2004 National Center for Educational Statistics reported 1,024 bachelor’s degrees, 135 master’s, and 5 doctoral degrees nationwide. She goes on to say:

These statistics, however, are suspect, given that the National Women’s Studies Association (NWSA) has documented 750 active undergraduate and graduate programs in U.S. colleges and universities.

Tell Ms. what you’ve done or are planning to do with your WS degree. They’ll be reporting feedback in a future issue. Send your plans and accomplishments to womensstudies@msmagazine.com
